The Personal Profiles and Assessment modules allow the trainee and training manager to follow progress according to Industry Competencies.

A separate module monitors Personal Profiles and Assessment by Performance. This allows users to see where they have been and which portions of the training system they have completed. It also provides feedback to both the trainee and the training manager about the trainee's progress in mastering the industry specified competencies. The training manager also has access to the results of assessment on completing test jobs and tasks.

The Industry Competencies have been further developed for our purposes and are aimed at providing a full task analysis at the level of component skills. The assessment module aims to cover these component skills and also the interaction of these skills in the context of specific process control tasks and environments.

An assessment procedure shows performance in special "assessment simulations" that specifically cover the training competencies. The individual tasks in the system are related to the industry competencies detailed in the Process Manufacturing ITC report and these will be reflected in the "assessment simulations". Monitoring an individual trainee's performance within the assessment module will assist both the trainee and the training manager to determine the trainee's performance based competence. A specially formatted report is available for the trainee or the training manager to print-out as a record of the assessment.
